Steve and I discussed last night just how emotional hard it is to be Tyler's parent. The worry we have for him is unexplainable, we never worry about Ben the way we worry about Tyler. So everyone is back to normal, including Ben who is eating like champ and pooping up a storm, yeah, except Tyler. Tyler vomitted again at daycare yesterday, sigh. He's definetly low on energy and obviously not himself. I did forget to mention in my previous blog that we are obviously not giving him any supplements right now as we don't want to do anything to upset his system more than it is. Our trouble now is that he's gone so long without eating anything of significance that his tummy is so weak that it can't tolerate a lot of food or liquid at one time and by a lot I mean, we only give him one chicken nugget an hour and then 1/4 cup of juice or milk. He made it until abotu 5 p.m. at daycare yesterday and then vomitted and then was lethargic again aftet that. It's a fine line between giving him what he wants and what we want him to have (feast after feast after feast) and giving him just enough to keep him going and get him slowly back to recovery without vomiting. each time he vomits then makes it harder for him to eat the next time, sigh. I told Steve last night that I Just want to get back to our normal stressful life with his our battle with autism. Because at least with that battle, we know Tyler's immediate health is not at stake and we just have long term goals in mind. This eating/drinking/vomiting/diarreah situation is just so concerning an we have no one to discuss our concerns with. I called his pediatrician the other day to ask how long he can go on so few calories before it gets dangerous and we shoudl take him to the hospital and I found out our peditrician has left the office. I asked why I wasn't notified in a letter, they said that they had postings around the buliding. Our kids rarely go to the doc so I had no idea. I asked what we do if we need to see a doc and they said we can see another doctor (regular) until they find a new peditrician. Well explaning Tyler's history to a new doctor is tough but someone who isn't in peds is even tougher and taking Tyler in on a weak stomach, not good either. Tyler gets very upset during exams and occasinoally vomits (the whole reason' we'd be there) so for someon enew that doesn't understand how you have to go about examning him and the patience involved and the things he despises (like checking his ears) well it's all just a nightmare.

Ok, so everyone please see a big prayer and cross your fingers that our little guy turns around soon because if we do not see any major improvement by Monday we'll probably take him to the hospital to ensure his immediate health is not at risk. Sigh..
